Follow the Masters

On Description.

So, if you, as a writer, have difficulties describing a scene or one of your characters, I leave here this fragment for you to consider and study. It is an excerpt from the novel “Underworld” by Don DeLillo.

See? Learning from the masters has been a part of us since we learned to read and write. So, don’t be afraid, don’t be shy, and follow the masters. Write what is in your mind, and do not worry about what others may say, think, or do. After all, it’s you on the page living your characters’ lives.
