A Toast for Her, a Toast for Life

Come round, comrades.

Join me in a toast

Friends, and brothers, neighbours, compatriots

We must honour the woman

That accompanies us through

Throughout our lives, my friends

In the goodness of life

In the difficulties of life

She who held us from that day forward

For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer

In sickness and in health

To love and to cherish

Till death do us part.

So, let’s decorate her life with a toast

Let’s toast for her, comrades

For God and the woman

Citizens of the world

Because she, my dear friends, her

The woman

She is a woman, and a woman has no colour, no race, no religion

She has no country. She is the homeland

She is all. She is everything

She is the only homeland we will forever have.
