Girl From Venice
Have you seen the movie The Tourist, with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp? It all happened in Venice, Italy—the movie where Angelina plays the girl lover of a guy who stole money from a gangster.
Well, something almost exactly happened to me while on vacation in Venice. I approached this gorgeous lonely woman sitting on a bench, and from then on, several strange things happened, not quite like in the movie, but you are free to imagine things, even those you don’t want to know. And if you imagine them, you are free to write them down.
See? I wanted to write about this incident for a long time, but now, on second thought, staring at the blank page and the cursor blinking, blinking, blinking, I decided to pass on this adventure to you to complete it.
How can you do it? Well, use your sources to research about Venice. Or can be any other dream destination. Then, put yourself there, on those bridges, exploring the city in one of those gondolas, visiting fancy hotels, and meeting the lover of your dreams.
See? This is what being a writer is: You have the power to write the story for the movie of your dreams.
Isn’t it easy?
Now, you don’t have a blank page anymore.
