On Teamwork.
Dear friend, colleague, and teammate,
If I were younger, say 30 years old and onward, and someone asked me to build a team, given the wisdom the years give and take, I think this would be the way I would do:
I confess that I'm my best co-worker.
I love having myself as my best teammate because I only know how to get the best from myself, so I'm sure that together, myself and I, make a great team.
Therefore, the best way to succeed is to trust myself and take responsibility for my actions. If I can do it and transmit this strength to others and understand my weaknesses, I'm sure I could contribute to the teamwork better.
No. It's not a case of double personality or about being egocentric. Relying too much upon myself can be seen by others as being narcissistic, but it's not that. It's being confident in myself and my abilities and trusting myself. And this usually happens when you like what you are doing. Then it's just a matter of knowing your worth and placing all your trust in yourself so you will never be disappointed or disappoint others, and you'll also inspire confidence in others. If everybody thinks and performs this way, we can form a great team, and we will conquer every goal.
So, at work, as in our personal lives, we must always commit to being the best version of ourselves, and we will be our own leaders. We must strive to set examples and do the right thing the first time.
Therefore, we must aim to take ownership of our tasks and decisions. Any team will grow stronger if everybody practices this philosophy at work. This will be the team's motto: first, be your best and then apply this quality to the team.
We are all here to bring the best of us to work in an organized way to maximize the team's synergy.
Thank you for your kind attention, and I would highly appreciate your written thoughts on this matter.
