On Odd Training Courses.

Well, my dear friends, I helped people develop soft skills in my younger days. I did this as a staff developer, mainly focusing on the needs and wants of the hospitality industry.

Apart from this, and as a curiosity, I have found some odd training plans after exchanging experiences with colleagues and researching.

Here are some examples of odd training courses taken from real life:

In-class training program for security guards, teaching them how to dodge bullets. (No kidding, these kinds of training courses exist).

How to handle charging vicious dogs. (Ditto).

How to react when confronting a bear or other wild animal, i.e., wolves, lions, or a crazy baboon. (Ditto).

How can you survive in the wilderness, cast away alone on an inhabited island (Tom Hanks kind of, but without the FedEx), or be left stranded on another planet (like Matt Damon on Mars)?

How can we survive after a nuclear explosion when nothing is left on Earth (Like Cormac McCarthy's character in The Road). Actually, all of these learned competencies will become necessary as we move in the direction we are moving, which is not precisely the right direction.

How to connect (and keep a relationship) with spirits.

How to become a clown.

How to spot shoplifters. (Just by looking at them when entering the store)

And even more challenging:

Training and teaching people on: (Tickets on Sale Now).

How to influence people. (Designed for Salespeople).

How to persuade people. (Designed for politicians).

How to obtain power (1st Part). (Designed for ambitious people).

How to use your power (2nd Part) (Everybody can attend).

How to become an influential person. (For the general public).

How to become an instant millionaire without buying the lottery. (Ha!)

How to write to influence people.

How to write a book or learn any art for that matter.

How to dance (if one has no sense of rhythm).

How to Do it Yourself programs. (If you don't have manual dexterity).

In sum, I assure you that you can learn to do any of these things. However, there is a caveat: you must know your limitations.

Good Luck and Happy Learning.
