I Fell in Love on a Starry Night

I fell in love on a starry night

Beneath a rain of shooting stars

What a beautiful sight!

I held her in my arms

The universe glowed in my heart

It was a starry night, yet love was not right

And as love has its thorns, so night has its turns

Thus, from starry, the night turned sorry

She broke my heart on a dark rainy night

Beneath the rain, my heart felt so brittle

Beyond the pain, I felt so little

Alas, but what love is if a shooting star

Blinds us with the might of its ghostly light

And again, what love is if a dark rainy night

Brings us memories we have seen the light?
